WHO WE ARE

We are a diverse group of Christians. We come from many different cultures, social backgrounds and we are all at various ages and stages of life. Yet we all come together to worship God with thanksgiving and praise. We all come to experience and be transformed through Jesus Christ.

During every service we provide a nursery with baby-sitting as well as active Sunday School groups. Every first Sunday of the month we offer an inter-generational service and celebrate Communion. On this day the youth and children stay and participate in the entire worship service.

Our purpose is to encourage everyone: to meet God, to know Jesus, to be filled with the Holy Spirit boldly to tell others. We seek to give glory and honour to God using biblical principles.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

As a church, our purpose is to encourage everyone to meet God, to know Jesus, to be filled with the Holy Spirit boldly to tell others. We seek to give glory and honour to God using biblical principles.

We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God and that we find our relationship with God through Jesus Christ. In other words we believe that salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. We also believe that we are to go out into the world, be Christ-like to others and through our actions as well as our words tell the Good News of the Gospel.

In our worship we praise God, listen to God’s word, and respond to God. We celebrate the sacraments of Baptism and Communion.

BAPTISM

Baptism can occur at any age in The Presbyterian Church in Canada. A parent who believe in Jesus Christ can bring their child for Baptism with the promise to raise the child in faith and foster a love of God. It occurs in conjunction with a profession of faith and admission to church membership. Baptism is a visible sign of God’s grace in which the entire body of Christ takes part. We baptize in the presence of the entire congregation.

COMMUNION

In Communion we are reminded of Jesus’ saving act of grace for us. Our children participate in communion with parental consent. We celebrate communion on the first Sunday of each month. In accordance with The Presbyterian Church in Canada we recognize

  • Children are capable of the same childlike faith that Jesus required of adults

  • The faith of children may be nurtured by participation in the Lord's Supper

  • The participation of children affirms their place in the fellowship we share as a spiritual family at the Lord's Table
